Official Reports Say the Accident Involved 2 Vehicles on Tamiami Trail North. The Cars Were Identified as a 2009 Toyota Camry and a 2011 Toyota Corolla.
Two people were injured in a 2-car accident in North Naples, officials said.
The crash between these two vehicles occurred on Tamiami Trail North close to Pelican Bay Boulevard. Officials said the 34-year-old driver of the Camry slowed to a stop for traffic and was rear-ended by the Corolla which failed to decelerate in time.
The Camry was pushed onto the shoulder of the road after been rear-ended, police added. There were two occupants inside the car at the time of the crash. Both the driver and the passenger were injured from the sudden impact of the Corolla.
The Corolla driver did not sustain any injuries according to the accident report. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed yet.
The crash is still under investigation and no further details have been released to the public.
