Plantation Police Say They are Investigating a Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash Involving a Pedestrian that Occurred Monday Morning.
Authorities said the incident occurred sometime before 6 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Sunrise Boulevard near Florida’s Turnpike.
A spokesperson for the police department, Officer Chavez Grant, said the pedestrian, who was a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He said the driver failed to remain at the scene.
No other details were immediately released.
