A Woman was Injured After a Minivan Crashed Into a Bbuilding Monday Afternoon in Lehigh Acres.
Officials said the accident happened at the Family Dollar on Homestead Road North around 1:30 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a 57-year-old woman was walking in front of the store when the 77-year-old driver attempted to park the van and hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Two people in the van were not injured and the driver was cited for careless driving.
