A Pedestrian was Killed in an Early Monday Morning Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers and emergency crews responded to a crash, which happened along I-95 southbound near the Golden Glades interchange, where a man’s body was discovered in the emergency lanes around 6:45 a.m.
Officials said the man was walking along the roadway when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
The victim died at the scene. Footage showed the body covered in a yellow tarp with FHP troopers at the scene.
The identity of the victim or information on the car involved in the crash is yet to be released.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
