A 13-Year-Old was Killed After a Mini-Bike Crash on Monday Morning in Lehigh Acres.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 9 a.m. at 7th Street SW and Gordon Avenue.
Troopers say the teen was riding the bike on the shoulder of Gordon Ave., when he ran the stop sign at 7th St. SW and collided with the driver’s side of the pickup.
Authorities said the 47-year-old driver of the truck remained at the scene. He had a 3-year-old passenger.
The teen was declared dead at Lee Memorial Hospital Monday night. The crash remains under investigation.
