A Head-On Crash Involving Two Vehicles on Veterans Parkway in Cape Coral Sent Three People to the Hospital Monday Morning.
A woman who witnessed the crash said the engine of one of the cars was gone.
“I was sitting on my lanai and I heard this bang,” said Joanne Keith. “I took my bike and I walked over the berm and I saw the whole front of the car, the engine was gone.”
Kelci Scott watched from a distance as first responders got to work.
She said, “I watched them try to pry the door of the car that was in the median. Watched every ambulance come up, the cops swarm.”
It’s still unclear how the crash happened. Cape Coral police are expected to release an update soon.
All lanes of the parkway have reopened between Santa Barbara and Skyline boulevards after being shut down for about three hours.
