Florida Highway Patrol says a Jacksonville man is dead after a crash on Normandy Boulevard and US Highway 301.
Authorities said a sedan-styled vehicle was traveling westbound on Normandy Blvd, and approaching the intersection of US Highway 301, while a large truck was traveling northbound on US Highway 301 and was occupying the inside left lane.
As the sedan-styled vehicle was going across lanes on US 301 the truck hit the vehicle.
According to the FHP, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on the scene. Officials identified him as a 39-year-old from Jacksonville.
The crash caused multiple lanes on Normandy Boulevard and US 301 to be blocked. The road has since been cleared and all lanes have been reopened.
