The police reported that a motorcyclist sustained injuries after rear-ending a car on 6 Mile Cypress Parkway in Fort Myers.
According to the police, an accident involving a motorcycle and a Scion car happened on 6 Mile Cypress Parkway. The driver of the Scion was traveling in the southbound lane heading toward an intersection at the time of the crash.
The report says the motorcycle rider was exceeding the speed limit when it suddenly rear-ended the Scion. He was thrown off the motorcycle due to the impact of the crash. He laid on the sidewalk with serious injuries. Police said, that when emergency crews arrived, they found him unconscious.
EMS immediately transported him to the nearest hospital for medical attention.
The Scion’s driver did not suffer injuries, however, the rear end of the car suffered slight damage from the collision.
Police have not released the identities of the parties involved and the incident is still being investigated.
