One Person was Killed After a Deadly Two-Car, Head-on Crash in North Fort Myers Friday Night, According to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities said state troopers were at the crash scene which occurred near the intersection of Mariana Avenue and US-41 (N Tamiami Trail).
State troopers confirmed a vehicle with two adults was northbound on US-41 at the intersection of W Mariana Ave and made a left turn into the path of a vehicle with a mother and child traveling southbound causing the front of the southbound vehicle to hit the right-front side of the northbound vehicle.
Officials said the passenger of the northbound vehicle died at the scene and the driver was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.
Emergency medical services took the mother and child in the southbound vehicle to Golisano Children’s Hospital as a precautionary measure.
The roadway has been cleared and the crash remains under investigation.
