An 18-Year-Old Clewiston Man was Killed in a Crash off US-27 in Hendry County Thursday Night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the teenager was driving a Ford sedan south on Flaghole Road around 6:29 p.m., south of US-27 while a semi-truck driven by a 54-year-old Clewiston man was traveling north on Flaghole Road, south of the Ford.
The teenager lost control of the Ford on the wet road, crossed into the northbound lane, and traveled into the path of the semi.
The front of the semi T-boned the Ford on its right side. Both vehicles came to rest in the area of the collision. The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
