Lt. Al Feola, Spokesman for Florida Highway Patrol, Said 18-year-old Kobe Lambert from Coral Springs Died in an I-95 Accident.
According to the report, the two passengers in the sedan, both 23-year-old men, were seriously injured. The passengers were identified as Marcus Zetrenne of Coral Springs and James Pierre of Deerfield Beach.
Feola said, the Honda collided with a Pontiac Solstice and spun out. The Solstice, driven by a 51-year-old Audrey Chapman of Pompano Beach, was not injured. Feola also said, the Honda was driven by Kobe Lambert. He crashed into a concrete barrier wall, resulting in fatal injuries.
An eyewitness that called 911, he saw two crashes, one at Commercial Boulevard and another near the Cypress Creek Road exit, involving the same white Honda.
Numerous cars were involved in varying degrees of fender benders and crashes along the way, he said. He also added that it was hard to believe there was only one person killed.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, traffic was blocked to Broward Boulevard, three miles to the south nearly four hours after the crash happened.
