According to the Report, a Woman was Killed in a Hit-and-Run Accident on Edgewood Avenue West at Magnolia Gardens in Jacksonville.
It was reported that a 58-year-old woman died from blunt trauma after being involved in the accident.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the victim and a 52-year-old man were riding on a moped when they were struck by a dark GMC Yukon at the intersection of Edgewood Avenue West and Ribault Road.
The woman later died at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She and the driver of the moped were thrown off. The GMC driver left the scene and did not stop to help the injured moped riders.
Police are still seeking the driver of the GMC. Surveillance pictures of the suspected vehicle is serving as a major clue in the investigation.
