Report says, Miami-Dade Police Detectives are Investigating a Car Crash that Left Two People Dead and a Third Critically Injured Near Miami International Airport.
Andrea Rudchenco, a spokeswoman for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reported the fatal crash. She said, the accident took place in the intersection of Northwest 36th Street and Northwest 57th Avenue, just north of Miami International Airport.
It was reported that at least two cars were involved in the crash. According to a crash report, a car driving east on Northwest 36th Street began turning left onto Northwest 57th Avenue when it was struck by another car that was traveling west on 36th Street. The second car hit a light pole and caught on fire just a few feet from a gas station.
Report says two adults were killed at the scene. It was reported that paramedics took a third one to the Ryder Trauma Center in Jackson Memorial Hospital. Their identities were not made public, according to the press.
The east and westbound lanes of Northwest 36th Street between Northwest 57th Avenue and Northwest 72nd Avenue were shut down due to the crash.
