According to the report, a fatal accident has Littleton Road shut down near Aluminum Road in North Fort Myers.
It was reported that the victim of the crash turned into the driveway on 8330 Littleton Road. Then he struck a gate access code box with the left side of the car. According to FHP’s press release, the victim then reversed into Littleton Road at a high speed directly into the path of Lori Jones’ oncoming car.
Report says Jones swerved and hit the right side of the victim’s car with the front and side of her car. The victim’s car then spun and entered the grass shoulder, overturning and stopping on its right side.
It was confirmed that Daniel Carvajal was the passenger in Jones’ car. Both were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The identity of the victim of the crash has not yet been released pending notification of family.
The victim was not wearing a seatbelt.
The road was closed for investigation. Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol were on the scene and crime scene tape was put up.
