A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash with an SUV in Jacksonville.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at about 8 p.m. on Old St. Augustine Road near Nekema Drive. The motorcycle was heading northbound when it crashed into an SUV that was turning into a nearby parking lot.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 30-year-old man, received life-threatening injuries to his head and leg. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. JSO said he remains in serious condition.
The three people in the SUV all received minor injuries from the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
