A Naples man was arrested after making an attempt to run from an I-75 crash that injured two in Collier County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Brandon Lopez, 28, was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash and driving with a suspended license.
Authorities said the crash occurred on Interstate 75 near Golden Gate when Lopez, the driver of a truck crashed into a car and damaged a cable barrier. Lopez tried to run from the crash but was detained by Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
A mom and daughter in the other car were taken to the hospital after the crash, troopers said.
Lopez was taken to the Collier County Jail. Troopers issued him a citation for failure to use due care and failure to provide proof of insurance.
