A 57-year-old Naples woman was killed in a two-car crash while her 21-year-old passenger was seriously injured, officials said.
According to troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol, they responded to the scene at Pine Ridge Road and Interstate 75 around 9:20 p.m.
Officials said a 27-year-old Naples man and his 28-year-old passenger from Ave Maria were in an SUV heading west on Pine Ridge Road and ran a red light. The SUV slammed into a car that was turning left onto Pine Ridge from I-75.
The SUV t-boned the car on the driver’s side, killing the 57-year-old Naples woman. The 21-year-old woman in the car was seriously injured in the crash.
The Naples man and Ave Maria man sustained only minor injuries in the crash.
Troopers are still investigating the crash.
