According to the crash report by the police, one person is in critical condition following a two-vehicle accident on Northwest 19th Street.
A police spokesperson said the accident happened at the intersection of Northwest 19th Street and Northwest 23rd Avenue. Investigators determined that a man was driving westbound in a 2013 Ford tow truck when the accident occurred. The driver of a 2011 Chrysler 300 ran a stop sign while going northbound on Northwest 23rd Avenue.
Police said the Chrysler then t-boned the tow truck, trapping the 34-year-old driver of the Ford inside. The tow truck driver suffered severe injuries from the crash, as did the Chrysler driver, who was in critical condition after the accident. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
Upon arrival, EMS extricated the driver from the tow truck. EMS crews removed the 26-year-old driver of the Chrysler and they administered first aid treatment immediately. The paramedics rushed them to a nearby hospital.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
