One Person was Transported to the Hospital After a Crash Involving a Pickup Truck and a Box Truck.
Authorities said deputies responded to the crash at Limetree Park Drive early Friday morning.
The incident occurred when the pickup truck rear-ended a Florida Department of Transportation work vehicle around 1:50 a.m. on April 30.
Fire Chief for Bonita Springs Fire Rescue said one person was taken to the hospital.
The DOT truck that was hit had a flashing arrow and sign that read “WET PAINT” at the time it was hit.
Information about what caused the crash is not known. The crash shut down all southbound lanes of South Tamiami Trail.
