An Orange Park Woman was Severely Injured in a One-Car Vehicle Accident on Timuquana Road, Authorities Said.
Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office were called to an accident on Timuquana Road at FL-15, according to a news release from the authorities. The vehicle was driven by a woman, who was going west when she failed to stop for a red light.
According to the release, the vehicle fishtailed and she swerved to the right, ran off the road and struck a tree. She also struck another vehicle driving in opposite direction before running off road.
She sustained life threatening injuries in the crash and was convey to the hospital moments after the accident. She was said to be driving a white 2017 Toyota Rav4, while the other affected vehicle is a Ford pickup.
Three passengers in the vehicle were taken to the nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to the release. No one was at the basket stand at the time of the accident but the driver of the pickup also sustained minor injury.
Investigation is ongoing on the accident, the report affirmed.
