A Woman is Dead After Being Struck by a Pickup Truck While Trying to Cross I-95 on Foot on the Mid-Westside.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 2:38 a.m. on I-95 just north of 8th Street.
A pickup driven by a 48-year-old man was traveling north when a 32-year-old woman walked in front of the truck’s path, the FHP said.
The truck hit the woman who was later pronounced dead from her injuries, according to the FHP.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash.
