Three Adults and Three Children were Seriously Injured After a Crash on Interstate 75 Near the Corkscrew Exit, Officials Said.
According to troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol, they arrived at the scene of the single van crash around 7:30 p.m.
An investigation revealed that the 33-year-old Miami woman driving the van was heading north on I-75 towards Corkscrew Road and lost control of the vehicle, troopers said.
The van swerved off the road and flipped in the grass shoulder. The driver, along with a 28-year-old man, 15-year-old girl, 8-year-old girl, 4-year-old boy, and a 54-year-old woman — all from Miami — were taken to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.
Everyone in the van was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash.
