The Florida Highway Patrol Says a Deputy with St. Johns County was Struck While Directing Traffic.
According to FHP, St. Johns County deputies responded to a crash that happened at the intersection of State Road 16 and Woodlawn Road.
Due to the crash all westbound lanes were blocked so traffic had to be redirected to Woodlawn Road.
As the St. Johns County deputy was redirecting traffic, she was struck by a vehicle that was turning onto Woodlawn Road.
The deputy experienced minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
