A 19-Year-Old Immokalee Woman was Killed After a Crash on Corkscrew Road Near Alico Road in Estero.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Corkscrew Road a mile east of Alico Road around 1:50 p.m.
Troopers said a 24-year-old Immokalee man driving a sedan lost control and swerved in front of a pickup truck traveling the opposite direction.
A 17-year-old Immokalee teenager was driving the pickup with three passengers including two 19-year-old Immokalee women and a 40-year-old California man, investigators said.
The two vehicles collided killing one of the teen passengers in the pickup truck and leaving the other with serious injuries, according to FHP.
The other three people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the investigation is ongoing. No further details were released.
