Three People have been Taken to a Hospital Following a Two-Vehicle Crash that Happened Near the Intersection of Mt Pleasant Road and McCormick Road, Law Enforcement Officials Said.
The two-car crash was reported to have taken place near the intersection of Mt Pleasant Road and McCormick Road where a Ford Focus parked by the side of the road was rear-ended by Toyota Rav4.
The Honda that hit the parked car was driven by a 26-year-old man who was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred. Police reported that the driver of the Ford was the only occupant in the car when it was rear-ended. There were two occupants in the Rav4, the driver and his 25-year-old fiancé, police added.
EMS arrived at the scene of the accident soon after it happened to administer on-site first aid to the injured victims in the incident. Emergency crews reported that all three of the occupants in the vehicles involved in the crash sustained various degrees of injuries. Reports say that the three accident victims were taken to a nearby hospital by EMS. Police are still investigating the crash.
