One Person Found Unconscious and Another was Injured After a Car Ran Off South Andrews Avenue and Overturned, According to Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
The accident occurred when the car drove westbound on South Andrews Avenue. Police confirmed the vehicle involved was traveling south on the roadway when it ran off the left side and struck a street light. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.
Furthermore, before the car overturned, it rear-ended a Grand Cherokee driving in the same direction. The driver and the passenger in the Grand Cherokee did not sustain injuries in the accident.
Paramedics transported two people inside the car to a nearby Medical Center. Upon arrival, paramedics found one victim unconscious and a 17-year-old male suffering from life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police have yet to release the names of the injured victims.
Presently, authorities are conducting an ongoing investigation into the accident.
