A Woman was Killed After Being Ejected from a Car During a Crash in Collier County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened along Westclox Street in Immokalee just after 6 p.m.
The car was driven by a 24-year-old man while the woman, also 24, was riding in the passenger seat. The driver was approaching a curve while traveling east on Westclox and took the turn incorrectly, troopers said. The car traveled off the road, hit vegetation, and overturned, landing on its roof.
The woman was ejected from the vehicle. FHP says she was not wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. No information was given on the condition of the driver.
