A 29-Year-Old Lehigh Acres Man was Killed After a Hit-and-Run Crash, According to the Florida Highway Patrol.
An FHP report revealed that the crash occurred at 7:50 p.m. on Joel Boulevard near the intersection of East 19th Street.
Officials said the motorcyclist was traveling north on Joel Boulevard when an unknown vehicle, that appeared to be a sedan, struck him.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike. He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital where he died.
The vehicle fled the scene.
Authorities have asked anyone with useful information on the crash to call the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-344-1730 or call SWFL Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
