According to the Crash Report from Florida Highway Patrol, a Young Jacksonville Man Dies in an Accident on East Beltway and Town Center Parkway.
It was reported that it appears the cause of the fatal accident were the wet roads that tied up traffic on the drive home near the Town Center.
Florida Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old man lost control of his car on the East Beltway while he was trying to change lanes. Consequently, report says, the straying car struck a concrete base on the shoulder of the road.
According to the report, the victim, who died on the scene, was identified as Zachary Carlson of Jacksonville. No one else was reportedly injured. No further information about the crash has been made available to the press.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
